HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A grocery store employee is in the hospital after being stabbed by a man in Midtown Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at a Randall’s store located in Midtown. Several employees walked to the parking lot of the store after noticing what appeared to be a homeless there. It is believed that the man camped out in front of the store. Upon confronting the man, the store employees saw that the man took out a knife and targeted one of the workers. The store employee was stabbed a reported 20 times by the man.
After the stabbing, the man fled on foot but was captured by police several blocks away. He was also arrested. The 20-year-old employee who was stabbed is expected to survive.
No word was released as to the charges the man faces at the time of this report. The victim’s name nor the suspect’s name was released during this report.
