HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Forty-eight people that were found inside of a Harris County home are now in ICE custody.

Immigration officials raided a northwest Harris County home Monday night, suspected of functioning as housing for persons who are in the country illegally. The home, described as a single-story three-bedroom house and located on Northleaf Drive, reportedly had men, women and children inside.

Those men, women and children were escorted out of the house by ICE agents and transported to a detention facility. There were 14 children found inside of the home. Officials believe that the men may have been apart of a human smuggling ring.

Further reports indicated that the individuals who were detained would be evaluated and anyone found in the country illegally would be deported.
