Father Charged With Murder For Accident That Killed Daughter

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A father was charged with felony murder after an accident killed his daughter. The rollover accident happened around 2 p.m. Friday on the westbound lanes of I-610 South Loop at Telephone Road.
Four-year-old Chloe Trevino was ejected from the vehicle and died. As a result of her death, her father, Roberto Trevino, has been charged with felony murder.
Trevino who appeared in court Monday, reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .08. and further admitted to police that he was drinking and smoking marijuana before the accident. Marijuana was found in his pocket.
Trevino was driving with his young daughter to pick up his other children from school when the accident occurred.
During Monday’s proceedings, a judge set Trevino’s bond at $50,000. Should he post bond, Trevino will be required to install a device on his car that tests the driver’s breath for alcohol before the car can be started. Furthermore, no one under the age of 17 will be allowed to travel with Trevino in a car. He also must inform every passenger in a car with him that he has been charged with the murder of his young daughter.
