HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Students at Sandy Hook Elementary School, mostly under age 10, described the terror that grappled their school in Newtown, Connecticut Friday after a 20-year-old man went on a shooting rampage that began around 9:30 a.m. EST.
The mass shooting included quick response times from local law enforcement, regional law enforcement as well as SWAT officers. Officials went room to room to search for victims.
One student described hearing noises that she called “booming”.
The mass shooting left 26 dead, including 18 children.
