The University of Houston Athletics Department plans to unveil renderings next Wednesday, Dec. 19, of its new on-campus, state-of-the-art stadium set to open in August of 2014. A media announcement and press conference will be streamed live on UHCougars.com with renderings and stadium facts posted online as well.

The media announcement and press conference will take place inside the Carl Lewis Auditorium at 1:30 p.m. and will include Houston’s Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades, DLR Group Principal Architect Greg Garlock and Project Manager Matt Doffing and Senior Vice President Duane Duffy from Manhattan Construction.

The Houston Athletics Department will also launch at 1:30, www.HoustonFootballStadium.com, a site separate from UHCougars.com dedicated to the new facility. Fans can view renderings, photo galleries and videos of construction progress, construction timelines along with information regarding the stadium and ways to donate to the stadium.
