HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A baby was found buried underneath clothing and other items in a car after a north Houston mom was charged with driving while intoxicated.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, authorities witnessed the woman driving erratically near Loop 494 and F.M. 1314 near Porter. The woman even came to a halt in the middle of the road at one point before she drove into a nearby gas station.

The woman, identified as 40-year-old Jessica Gutierrez of Kingwood, allegedly admitted to officials that she consumed beer coupled with the drugs Prozac and Xanax before getting behind the wheel.

As Gutierrez was being questioned, officials saw a baby in the back seat of the car, buried under clothes and a skateboard. Officials also stated that the vehicle had tremendous amounts of garbage in its back area. It appeared that the baby was not injured or harmed.

Gutierrez who failed a sobriety test, was then taken to jail and held on a $25,000 bond. The infant was taken into CPS custody. Additional reports indicate that Gutierrez also had a 12-year-old child at home who was being cared for by a roommate.
