HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Houston police have formerly charged a man in connection with the shooting and stabbing of a car salesman earlier this week.
Nineteen-year-old Hersson Stanley Orellana faces charges of both aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
According to police, Orellana kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from the parking lot of Houston Community College’s Spring Branch campus Monday evening and then the two drove to Gillman Honda located on West Sam Houston Parkway. It was there he found his current girlfriend’s new boyfriend, the car salesman.
Khai Nguyen the car salesman, was sitting in his car when Orellana and his ex-girlfriend arrived at the dealership just before 8 p.m. His girlfriend walked over and got into the car with him and then Orellana approached the car.
Additional reports indicate that Orellana first fired gunshots in Nguyen’s direction, then allegedly stabbed him. Nguyen was able to jump out of the vehicle and flee.
Authorities further stated that Orellana then got into Nguyen’s car and sped away with the woman still in the car. He did however, drop her off at an unknown location. Nguyen was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital to be treated for his wounds. He was listed in fair condition.
Police are looking for Orellana and are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information regarding Orellana’s whereabouts is being urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
