Car Dealership Salesman Shot, Carjacked In Parking Lot

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) According to Houston police, a salesman at Gillman Honda was shot and carjacked as he left work just before 8 p.m. Monday evening.
The incident happened on West Sam Houston Parkway near the Southwest Freeway. The salesman was just completing a day’s work and was walking to his own car to leave. It was then that an unknown suspect approached him, shot him and took his car.
The salesman was taken to a hospital; he is expected to survive.
The incident comes after a car dealership manager was shot by an employee. Robert Kuentz, a manager at Mac Haik Chevrolet, was shot in the neck on November 30 and died last Monday afternoon at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Forty-nine-year-old Keith Edward Grimmett, a car salesman, was charged with murder after Kuentz died. Grimmett was reportedly upset with treatment he had received from Kuentz; the two men had an argument.
