HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Former President of the United States George H.W. Bush has not been given a time line for release from a Houston Hospital.

Bush, the 41st President of the United States, remains at Methodist Hospital in Houston where his doctors are being cautious with his care and treatment.

President Bush entered the hospital for what doctors called a “lingering cough” that was bronchitis-related over two weeks ago.

According to a Methodist Hospital spokesman, the 88-year-old former President of the United States is steadily improving but his medical team has yet to give a time line for when he will be discharged.

Hospital visitors of President Bush have included his son, former President George W. Bush and his wife, former first lady Laura Bush, who live in Dallas.

Bush who was reportedly physically active this week, is currently the oldest surviving President of the United States.
