HOUSTON (CBS Houston) According to Pasadena police, a woman was shot and killed Tuesday near a Houston-area gardening center. The shooting took place on Vista Road near the Beltway.

The incident happened when two suspects in an SUV pulled alongside a Toyota Scion and began shooting at the other car. Both of the vehicles were traveling eastbound.

Fifty-eight-year-old Yolanda Aguilar was shot at least once in the head. Other passengers in the car included Aguilar’s husband, another female passenger and a 2-year-old child. Aguilar was the only one injured in the car. Aguilar’s husband pulled over at the Houston Patio Garden Center to call for assistance for his wife, but Aguilar was already dead. Upon their initial investigation, police were able to determine that both parties knew each other.

Authorities are searching for a gray 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with license plate that reads: “CT3 X744”. Anyone who can help in the case is asked to call the Pasadena Police Department.
