HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A Katy man is accused of stomping a neighbor’s dog to death.  Richard Ziedler, 56, has been charged with cruelty to animals after allegedly killing a neighbor’s Chihuahua.

Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constables responded to the incident after a woman called police stating that her dog had escaped from her home located on Dabney Manor in Katy on Sunday.

Additional reports state that Ziedler found the dog and stomped on it. Ziedler was arrested the same day he allegedly stomped the dog to death and faces a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals. His bond was set at $10,000.

Ziedler has prior convictions that include a DWI in 1994 and possession of a controlled substance in 1990.
