BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in South Texas have seized cocaine in two separate incidents with an estimated value of more than $1 million.

The seizures took place Tuesday at two international bridges in Brownsville.

The larger of the two seizures took place after officers discovered eight bundles containing nearly 21 pounds of cocaine hidden inside a Toyota Solara. Officials say the cocaine has a street value of $614,000.

The other seizure took place at a different bridge when officers discovered eight bundles with 14.4 pounds of cocaine hidden inside a truck. Officials say the cocaine has a street value of $434,000.

The drivers in both seizures were turned over to federal agents.
