A Houston-area father is dead and his son faces murder charges for the shooting. As authorities work to determine a motive in the shooting that left a 63-year-old Dale Lee Baker dead, his son 41-year-old Cory Dale Baker, has been charged with murder.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office stated that Dale Lee Baker died Sunday at a hospital several hours after being shot in the head while at home.

Cory Dale Baker,who was being held Monday on $50,000 bond, was arrested shortly after the shooting around 11 a.m. Sunday. A call was made by the suspect’s mother stating that the couple’s son had shot his father.
