A Harris County deputy supervisor was airlifted to the hospital after a serious car crash in the early morning hours of Monday.

The accident happened on Highway 90, located on the northeast side of the county. Sgt. Felix Dlouhy was taken by LifeFlight to a hospital and was surrounded by family Monday morning.

According to officials, Sgt. Dlouhy was in his patrol answering a call about a stabbing. It was then that his patrol vehicle was T-boned by a white Chevy Suburban.

Three other individuals were  in the Suburban that included one woman and two men. The woman was taken to Ben Taub Hospital while the two men fled on foot.

Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia took to his personal Twitter page to update Sgt. Dlouhy’s condition. Sheriff Garcia wrote:

Dlouhy was cut out of his vehicle, then transported via LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he underwent a series of tests at the hospital. Harris County Sheriff’s authorities continue to investigate the incident.
