The Texans have activated third-year inside linebacker Darryl Sharpton from the physically unable to perform list.

Sharpton, a fourth-round pick out of Miami (Fl.) in 2010, played in eight games last season and accumulated nine tackles.

To make room for this roster addition, the Texans have released safety Troy Nolan.
