Two robbers who pretended to be lost and in need directions before shooting a man are being sought after by Houston police.

According to reports, the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on Woodvine Drive at Highcrest Drive on Tuesday.

Authorities stated that the victim was sitting in his front yard with two other people when two men approached him and asked him for directions. It was then that they pulled out guns, snatched a necklace off of the neck of one of the three victims and began robbing all three of them of their personal items.

Further reports indicate that a struggle ensured between one of the victims and the robbers. As a result, the robbers opened fire. The victim that was shot was rushed to an area hospital and reportedly listed in serious but stable condition. The suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot.

There was no detailed description of the suspects available at the time of this report nor was the victim’s name released.
