A bank robbery escaped from authorities after he tossed a tracking device out of his vehicle in northwest Harris County.
According to reports, the robbery happened around 7:00 a.m. Monday at the Wells Fargo on Louetta Road at Grant Road.
Authorities from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable responded to the incident.
Eyewitness accounts stated that a robber dressed in black pointed a gun at a teller and then demanded an undisclosed amount of money. Investigators stated that he then fled the scene.
Several miles away, the suspect noticed a tracking device the teller managed to place into his possession. That suspect then took the device and reportedly threw it into the bed of a parked pickup truck on Taub Street.
Although officials were able to track the suspect on Beltway 8 where he exited at Fairbanks, more detailed description of the suspect and his escape vehicle were not provided at the time of this report.
There were no injuries reported during the robbery.
