Armed Suspect Forces Fast Food Restaurant Workers Into Freezer
An armed man who robbed a McDonald’s restaurant early Friday morning, forced the restaurant’s workers into a freezer.
According to the Houston Police Department, the robbery happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. The McDonald’s Restaurant located on Highway 6 at Piping Rock, just north of Westheimer was the target.
Authorities stated that the suspect held a gun to a female employee’s back and forced her to open the safe. He then forced the female employee as well as additional employees at the eatery to go into the kitchen’s freezer. Additional reports indicate that the suspect sped away in a brown Chevrolet Suburban.
It is believed that the suspect got away with about $1,000. An employee was able to call 911 while in the freezer.
Although a detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available, police said that the man had dark skin and stood over six feet. It is also believed that the man weighed approximately 245 lbs. Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call the Houston Police Department.
