Now that the Texans have been sent to their room for a week long timeout for the stinker that they played on Sunday, it’s time once again to take a look at who will be suiting up for this week’s matchup of the AFC’s best two teams. Let’s get down to brass tacks…

For the Texans…

Jonathan Joseph: Questionable – CB – The Texans star cover corner has been battling a nagging groin injury for the past two weeks. He was held from the first two practices of the week, but practiced on a limited basis on Friday. With the bye week upcoming, I imagine he will play this week, and rest and rehab during his week off.

Tim Jamison: Out – DE – Jamison was an largely unsung hero on the Texans D line, but he was able to spell Watt and Smith on long drives. He is out for the season, and will be missed.

David Hunter:  Out – DE – The rookie street free agent from the University of Houston had made enough waves during the off season to get him elevated from the practice squad. Unfortunately, injured his toe during the final practice of the week and will miss this week’s game.

Quentin Demps: Questionable – S – After having multiple surgeries in consecutive weeks, Demps returned to practice on a limited basis this week. While this is a good sign, don’t expect him to suit up until after the bye.

For the Ravens…

Terrell Suggs: Out – LB – T-Sizzle from BSHU (That’s Ball So Hard University to the layperson) Made headlines this week when he said he would start against the Texans this week. This will not happen.

Ray Lewis: Out – LB – Unless you have been living under a rock for the past week, one of the best to ever play the game suffered a torn triceps, and will be forced to miss the rest of the season. His presence will be missed by the Raven’s D.

Ladarius Webb: Out – CB – The Ravens’ equivalent of Jonathan Joseph was knock out for the season with a torn ACL. Just sit and mull that loss over for a minute.

Ma’ake Kemoeatu: Questionable – NT – While he should suit up and play, I am curious to see how well the he holds up against a Texans offense that is looking to get back on track with the running game. This does not bode well for a nose tackle with a sore knee.

Haloti Ngata: Questionable – DT – Ngata didn’t practice on Wednesday, and then was limited on Thursday and Friday. The Ravens’ D needs their Pro Bowl defensive tackle on Sunday, I would expect to see him take the field.

This one should be a relatively high scoring affair. I say Texans over the Ravens 30-21…Nevermore!
