FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – A person familiar with the situation says New York Jets guard Matt Slauson has been fined $10,000 by the NFL for his season-ending block on Houston linebacker Brian Cushing.

Slauson rolled into Cushing, who tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in the second quarter of the Texans’ 23-17 win Monday night. Cushing was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
