Houston Texans Injury Report: Week 4
Break out the champagne, and let the celebration begin…the Houston Texans are 3-0 for the first time ever!!
That didn’t sound very impressive…let’s try this again.
The Houston Texans are undefeated through three games for the first time in franchise history!!!
Now that I read that, it doesn’t look very accomplished either. That is probably because the Texans aren’t even a quarter of the way through the season, so it’s a little inconsequential that they have yet to be beaten. But if you want to get an idea of their chances of staying undefeated, you need to keep reading to find out who will be taking the field come Sunday.
For the Texans…
Jonathan Joseph : Will Start – CB – After having a nagging groin pull early in the week that forced him to miss practice on Wednesday, and being Limited on Thursday, he returned to take his full load of reps in practice. I have a sneaking suspicion that Gary Kubiak just held Joseph out to keep him fresh more than to let him heal.
Lestar Jean : Out – WR – He tore a meniscus in his knee during the first quarter of the game last week, then played the rest of the game on it. He had surgery on Monday to repair the damage, and was back in the training room an hour later doing rehab. He will be out for at least a couple of weeks.
Bryan Braman : Will Play – OLB – Braman missed last week’s game in Denver, having pulled a hamstring in the previous game, but he will be back on the field making plays on special teams.
Quentin Demps : Will Play – S – He suffered from a broken from a broken bone in his thumb last week, had surgery on Monday, then in his weekly Monday press conference that he would practice and play on Sunday. I can’t be the only one that thinks that Demps is a bit of a Badass for this speedy turnaround.
For the Titans…
Kenny Britt : Questionable – WR – What do you call a wide receiver that can’t make sharp cuts because he has a sprained ankle? A Wide receiver that won’t be playing on Sunday. This is a hit for a team that can’t run the ball, and needs every option they can get in the passing game.
Jared Cook : Probable – TE – Cook missed practice on Monday, and was limited on Thursday and Friday, but the word around the interwebs is that he will strap it up against the Texans on Sunday.
Colin McCarthy : Out – LB – When you have a defense that is ranked next to last in the NFL, you might not think that it would hurt much to lose one of your starters. And in the case of McCarthy, who only has three tackles in as many games, you would be correct.
The Titans should be handled easily…Texans 31-10
