Arkansas Authorities Investigating Dart Attacks Against Women

ROGERS, Ark. (AP) — Rogers police are investigating two attacks in which young women were stuck with darts.
Police say the attacks occurred on Wednesday and on Sept. 21.
The most recent attack occurred when a 21-year-old woman had left a store and a car slowed so she could use a crosswalk. The woman said a dart hit her in the back as she finished crossing.
The Sept. 21 attack occurred when a 19-year-old woman was standing outside a home on West Olive Street. A passenger car had driven by and witnesses reported hearing a loud “pop” and then the victim was struck by a dart in the right side of her neck. The dart was removed by at a hospital.
Police say the darts are of a type used with a blow gun.
