Report: LSU Enforcing Evacuation Of Campus Following Bomb Threat
LSU officials are reportedly enforcing a mandatory evacuation of the school campus, following a bomb threat.
The LSU Emergency Operations Center has instructed anyone on campus to evacuate immediately. This comes after information about bomb threat was called into the East Baton Rouge Parish 911 office.
“A bomb threat has been reported on the LSU Campus. Please evacuate as calmly and quickly as possible. Check lsu.edu for updates. LSUEOC,” the alert reads in a red strip across the top of the school’s website.
Students were also warned by a central texting program. A text alert was sent at 11:32 a.m.
Last Friday, bomb threats were called into both the University of Texas in Austin and North Dakota State in Fargo received. The threats prompted both campuses to be evacuated, but no explosives were found at either school.
