Texans Injury Report: Preseason Game 3
The third week of the NFL preseason is when fans can generally expect to see the most of their team’s starters. For the most part, fans will get just that…with the exception of these guys.
Shaun Cody – Back – Cody received another injection in his back, and joined the trainers to begin working out again. He is still at least a week away from rejoining his teammates on the field.
J.J. Watt – Dislocated Elbow – Nothing new here…he’s doing rehab on his elbow, and wearing his compression sleeve while he delivers milk all over the greater Houston area.
Sunny Harris – Torn Triceps – We got word on Wednesday that the injury that Harris sustained the previous day was more serious than originally thought. His triceps tear ended his hopes of making the 53 man roster, as well as his rookie season. This untimely injury opens the door for Hebron “Lonnie” Fangupo to step up and make this team.
Daryl Sharpton – Pulled Groin – He was one workout away from returning to practice after a gruesome torn quadriceps tear in week 8 of last season, when he pulled his groin.
DeVier Posey – Strained Calf – We didn’t expect to see much of him in week 3 with the emergence of Kendall Wright and LeStar Jean, but thanks to an injury sustained on Wednesday, you won’t see him until the Texans take on the Vikings in the final preseason game on Thursday.
