HOUSTON (AP) — Retail gasoline prices across Texas have gone up 2 cents this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price per gallon at the pump has reached $3.55. The nationwide cost for gasoline rose a penny, to reach $3.72 per gallon.

The association says drivers in Dallas and Fort Worth are paying the most statewide, at $3.58 per gallon. El Paso has the least expensive gasoline this week, at $3.32 per gallon.

AAA spokesman Doug Shupe says analysts believe retail gas prices will decline after Labor Day as the busy summer driving season draws to a close. Producers will switch from summer to winter blend gasoline.

The association says oil prices have risen slightly amid positive global economic data and continued tensions with Iran.
