Texans coach Gary Kubiak told the media that linebacker Brian Cushing has been released from the hospital after spending time there with an illness. Cushing could be back at Texans facilities later today.

Cushing is expected to play in Saturday’s preseason opener at Carolina.

“He’s feeling much better,” Kubiak said. “As long as he’s feeling well, he’ll go through our jog-through in the morning, and he’ll get his repetitions on Saturday.”
