GALVESTON,Texas (AP) — The Coast Guard says a woman has died after falling off a ferry in Southeast Texas.

Officials say the accident happened Monday night on the Galveston-Port Bolivar Ferry. The Coast Guard used a small boat and a helicopter to locate the woman in the water.

The woman was taken to a Galveston hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The name of the woman, believed to be in her 40s, was not immediately released.
