EL PASO, Texas (AP) — A passenger bus from Mexico with only the driver on board has yielded nearly 860 pounds of marijuana at a Texas border crossing.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a drug-sniffing dog was used during the search at the Bridge of the Americas in El Paso.
CBP said Monday that an X-ray of the bus at the Bridge of the Americas led to the discovery of compartments in the front wheel well. Hundreds of bundles of marijuana were confiscated.
Investigators say the drugs were recovered Friday. The driver has not been arrested as the investigation continues.
