Police: Galveston Man Who Died After Yelling In Middle Of Traffic Was On Bath Salts

GALVESTON, Texas (CBS Houston) – The bath salts craze continues.

A Galveston man believed to have been under the influence of bath salts incoherently shouted in the middle of a street over the weekend and could not be revived after he stopped breathing at the scene.

The Houston Chronicle reports that a man, whose information has been withheld at this time, was shouting at traffic that passed by him at around 10 p.m. Saturday. Showing signs of exciting delirium, police had to move the man from the street, but only after a brief struggle, according to media reports.

Then, the man stopped breathing at the scene. The Chronicle reports that medical personnel could not revive him at the scene. Media and police reports indicate that the man was in possession of bath salts and that his behavior went hand-in-hand with recent incidents involving those under the influence of the designer drug.
