The Source Board Shop

Located in Rice Village, this shop is truly a one-stop source for anything a boarder could ever want or need. From trucks, decks and wheels to gear for any session, this shop is the premier place for boarders. When the weather warms up and it’s time to head from the street to the beach, it also features swim gear for true board lovers.

Carve Skate Shop
1307 Yale St.
Hours: Mon to Sat – noon to 8 p.m.
This shop on the northwest side prides itself on not messing around with peripheral stuff like sunglasses, wallets, T-shirts and shoes. It focuses exclusively on providing a good supply of the gear for savvy boarders, and stays on top of the latest trends in the industry. For the novice, Carve’s website offers a checklist and recommendations on all the key elements of a complete board. It invites boarders to congregate at the shop to coordinate local skates all over the area.
Cade’s Boards Skate Shop

Located in The Woodlands, this is the spot for grinders on the far north side. Cade’s has been around since 2006 and prides itself on quality equipment at competitive prices in a friendly, helpful atmosphere. These guys are boarders themselves and are ready to offer their expertise on anything related to the board six days a week.

Serious boarders could get lost for hours in Kingpinz. It draws raves for its friendly, knowledgeable service, too. If, for any reason, the store doesn’t have what you’re looking for, staffers will find it and get it in quickly. When you’re ready to take your boarding to the slopes, this shop can supply your snowboarding needs as well.

Southside’s convenient location at Highway 6 and the Southwest Freeway invites you to check out the boards, shirts, shoes and assorted gear. And after you’ve purchased your gear, drive over to its affiliated indoor skate park at 510 Iowa St. in south Houston to test it out.
