HOUSTON (CBS Houston/AP) — A Houston woman has given birth to sextuplets.
Officials at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston say the three boys and three girls were in stable condition Tuesday.
Lauren and David Perkins used their website to announce the birth of their children and to say the mother is also stable.
The website, dubbed “The Perkins Pack,” says the children born Monday are premature, at just over 30 weeks. The infants ranged in weight from 1 pound, 10 ounces to 2 pounds, 15 ounces. They are currently in the neonatal intensive care unit.
The babies were conceived using intra-uterine insemination with ovulatory stimulating drugs, according to the website.
The couple did not immediately announce the names of their babies.
