The Texans have filled at least one hole this week. They’ve signed free-agent punter Donnie Jones to a one-year deal.

Jones, a ninth-year veteran, has been punting for the St. Louis Rams the last five seasons after playing for the Miami Dolphins for two years and spending his rookie season with the Seattle Seahawks.

His best season came in 2009 when he punted a net average of 41.7 yards. Last season, Jones kicked a net average of 37.0 yards.
