HOUSTON — The Rockets will be without star guard Kevin Martin for Friday night’s home game against the Washington Wizards because of plantar fasciitis in his first right foot.

The Rockets leading scorer is listed as day-to-day. Courtney Lee will start in his place.

Certainly the Rockets will miss Martin’s scoring. Martin, who is averaging, 20.1 points, has scored 20 or more points in four straight games, which includes a 29-point effort during Wednesday’s loss to Milwaukee.

This will be the first game Martin has missed so far this season.
