Following Sunday’s game at Reliant Stadium, Carolina Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey expressed his disgust with the Texans and the players who didn’t place their hands over their heart during the singing of the national anthem.
“I was pretty upset in the way that they (Texans players) weren’t showing respect to America during the national anthem,” the Panthers tight end told SportsRadio 610. “There were about 10 players that didn’t put their arms across their chest.
“This is America. You should at least respect America.”
Shockey, who was obviously not gazing upon the American flag or watching the vocalist on the field, failed to to notice his own teammates not abiding by his Star-Spangled Banner standards.

Perhaps Jeremy Shockey should reprimand his own team for not being patriotic??? Numerous Panthers did not have their arms across their chests during the anthem Sunday at Reliant. Notice kicker Olindo Mare #10 to Shockey’s immediate left. Ooops…… don’t tell Shockey I was taking a picture during the anthem.
