The No. 7 Houston Cougars are undefeated and will face Southern Mississippi on Saturday during the Conference USA Championship at Robertson Stadium. While Cougar fans are enjoying what might be considered the greatest season in program history, outsiders are also watching the job that head coach Kevin Sumlin has done.

Sumlin has reportedly been offered the coaching job at Arizona State, according to a report by Doug Haller of the Arizona Republic.

The Houston Chronicle is reporting that the job offer is just a rumor and that he has, in fact, not been offered the job.

During his four seasons in Houston, Sumlin has collected a 35-16 record and has continually shown off potent offenses.

Sumlin’s name has been mentioned numerous times during other coaching vacancy discussions as well.
