While Texans fans mourn the loss of defenisve end Mario Williams for the season because of a torn pectoral muscle, coach Gary Kubiak didn’t have quite as harsh news about fullback James Casey who suffered a similar injury.

As of Monday afternoon, Kubiak says Casey is listed as day-to-day. Lawrence Vickers will play in his place if Casey cannot go Sunday.

Quarterback Matt Schaub is suffering a sore shoulder and a thigh bruise and is also considered to be day-to-day.

As for the vacancy caused by Williams’ injury, rookie linebacker Brooks Reed will continue to see playing time at the position and will practice with the starters this week.
