Fun Autumn Activities

Autumn means cooler weather and more opportunities for seasonal outdoor activities. The Fall months are perfect for visiting pumpkin patches, going to neighborhood events and creating meaningful memories.

Pumpkin patches allow visitors to hand pick and purchase their very own pumpkins. In addition to exploring the pumpkin patches, farms will also feature hayrides, seasonal foods and crafts for sale. TGR Exotics, The Old Time Christmas Tree Farm and Nature Discovery Center are just some of the few well known pumpkin patches in the Houston area.

Churches and local parks are notoriously great for providing inexpensive or even free fun for the whole family, couples and individuals.

A great place to visit  is Willow Meadows Baptist Church. Every October, this church invites everyone to come and join them  for a time of dinner and Truck or Treating.  The church describes the event as a safe Halloween alternative. Costumes, dinner at 5:30, Trunk or Treating at 6pm, bounce houses and lots of fun!

Vehicles in the parking lot are decorated in g-rated, spook-tacular fashion and partcipants pass out candy to the visitors. There is live music and the hosts are friendly to everyone.
