World Rabies Day Is Upon UsBARC Animal Shelter & Aoption is celebrating by opening a new wellness center on Wednesday. The BARC Wellness Center offers low-cost vaccinations and preventative medications to a vastly underserved segment of pet owners in Houston.  Low-cost rabies vaccinations offer pets protection against this deadly disease, as well as reducing the risk of human exposure in our community.

On World Rabies Day, BARC encourages all pet owners to check the status of rabies vaccinations for their animals. If the pet is due for a rabies vaccination, or any vaccination, come to the BARC Wellness Center as soon as possible, no appointment necessary.  The BARC Wellness Center is open to the public during regularly scheduled business hours: daily from Noon – 6 p.m. (closed Mondays and Thursdays).

Visit www.houstbarc.com for more information.

Happy World Rabies Day to you!
