According to Sally MacDonald, MyFoxHouston reporter, a 30-page indictment alleges Maria Rojas and her brother, Jose Luis Rojas, forced women into prostitution at La Costenita night club and El Club Restaurante located in the 8300 block of Clinton Drive.

The two are accused of conspiring to hold persons in conditions of peonage and recruiting, holding, transporting and providing and obtaining persons for sexual services.

The ages of their victims range from 30 to, as young as, 14. According to the indictment the women were lured with false promises of legitamate employment in various restaurants and bars. Instead, the victims were forcefully coerced into prostitution at the bar and restaurant. To keep the women and children from running away, they were told their families would be harmed, using pimps to control the victims and levying huge debts  for providing clothes and living arrangements.
