Marc Vandermeer ranks the Top 5 college football teams around the Lone Star State.

1. Baylor
Why not? They beat a team that had not lost since the current US President still had a pretty good approval rating.

2. Texas A&M
“Goodbye Texas University…” literally

3. Texas
Okay, it was Rice and they didn’t crank it up until the second half. But according to witness reports (because we couldn’t watch it) they were okay.

4. Houston
A near-perfect afternoon for the Coogs has folks talking about them running the table. For those who think CUSA is cake, take note that they haven’t won the league since Art Briles was coaching.

5. UTSA
So what if they played a school with alumni who might not be aware has a football program. This was our only chance to put the Road Runners in so we grabbed it. Congrats to Larry Coker for winning the inagural game.
