A visibly frustrated Arian Foster sat on the bench and refused interaction with some of his teammates after leaving the field and grabbing the back of his left leg.

Texans running backs have been plagued with tweaked hamstrings this preseason and during training camp, and this injury bug didn’t seem to spare Foster during the Texans’ 30-7 preseason victory over the 49ers in San Francisco.

If Foster is severely hurt and cannot play at full strength at the start of the season, the injury could impact the choices made by fantasy football players. The Texans are most concerned since they’ll need him to be a vital part of the offense again, but fantasy players selfishly rely on him for their teams as well.

Foster spoke out on Twitter Sunday morning:

“4 those sincerely concerned, I’m doing ok & plan 2 B back by  opening day. 4 those worried abt your fantasy team, u r sick.”

Pretty funny he should say that since I am actually getting sick over deciding whether to keep him or Brady in my keeper league!

  2. Mitchell Schuller says:

Well, I’ll agree with him on that. A real human has been hurt and people are worried that it may destroy their fantasy. That is a sick mind. And one that needs to be snapped back into reality.

  3. StanTheMan says:

Foster is a whiny arrogant puke who needs to act like a teammate and an adult — does he wear adult diapers too? What a baby.

  4. Scotty the Menace says:

Seriously? He’s got a tweaked hammy. It’s neither life-threatening nor even all that serious. If he was carted off the field on a back board with no feeling in his extremities then, yes, worrying about his fantasy prospects would qualify as sick. But a tweaked hammy? Seriously? Everyone knows he’ll be fine and back on the field at some point. That makes worrying about his fantasy prospects pretty normal.

I have to agree with Scotty. As a fan of football, I wish him the best and a speedy recovery. As a fantasy football player who invests a few hundred dollars a year in league fees, I am much more concerned with his fantasy prospects then how he feels after a tweaked hammy…
