Steve Slaton joined the group of injured running backs who can only watch as their teammates practice.
During practice Thursday morning, Slaton took off his pads and apparently suffered a leg injury. Coach Gary Kubiak informed the media after practice that Slaton had injured his hamstring.
Both Arian Foster and second-year running Ben Tate, who missed the entire season last year with injury, are suffering ailments that keep them off the practice field.
Receiver Jacoby Jones, who missed part of Wednesday’s practice because of a sore foot, underwent X-rays on that foot. The results are negative for any breaks or tears. It’s been determined that he’s suffering a bone bruise in his foot.
Outside linebacker Mario Williams also missed practice.
“Mario’s dad is not feeling well,” Kubiak explained. ‘He’s with his dad.”
