At this point, the NFL lockout has lasted longer than does an NFL regular season. The spec of light at the end of the tunnel is now a shining beam as an end to the lockout is in sight.

Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey told the website Busted Coverage that a new collective bargaining agreement is soon to come.

“Obviously the details have to be completed, but this deal is done,” Shockey said, according to the site. “The Hall of Fame game is a go. It’s a win-win for both sides.”

The Packers are instructing players to “be ready to show up at the team facility on Saturday for a meeting,” according to a report by ProFootballTalk.

Other players around the league have commented via Twitter and during interviews.
