Bring your kids down to Eleanor Tinsley Park for Freedom Over Texas and stop by the Walmart All American Kids Zone!  There will be tons of educational fun and entertainment for your kiddos this fourth of July including the Houston Public Library’s Mobile Express computer lab, the HFD’s Smokehouse and dancing… that’s right dancing.  Your kids can even learn some new moves and then show them off in the Dance-Off.

More than 30,000 square feet of free educational programming and entertainment await your kids including Houston Public Library’s HPL Mobile Express computer lab that will teach child how to use a computer.  The Houston Fire Department’s Smokehouse will teach kids the importance of fire safety. Also on hand are historical costumed characters that will talk to your kids about the documents that defined our government.

My Country Tis of Thee 

Fun characters present a story of our country’s freedom through energetic songs and
interactive activities. Little Betsy Ross along with Benny Franklin and Sammy Adams share the
story of their nation’s independence.

Hip Hop Bop with “Lali” the Croc
Join Lali and her friends as she teaches all the children the “Freedom Bop”. Lali and her
friends will guide you along as you learn the fun movements to perform the “Freedom Bop”.

Princess Parade
Every little girl wants to be a princess. Our Freedom Princess will invite young girls from the
audience to join her on stage to learn the dances of a royal princess.

That Crazy Rabbit
Join Theodora, the young magician, as she puts her training to use and attempts one of her
greatest illusions ever, the “Rabbit in a Hat”.
Kid Dance 2011: DANCE DANCE DANCE
Join the Red Crew to learn some of the latest moves in Hip Hop.

Dance Off
Come show your best moves for a chance at several prizes, including the chance to win free
dance lessons for a month! To show off your moves and have a shot at our great prizes visit
the DJ booth at any time during the day.

HIP HOP FOR MY COUNTRY: RED/WHITE/AND BLUE
Red Crew presents KID POWER – Join us as this hip-hop crew unlike any other salutes kids
with another high-energy performance.

Everybody Mambo
Join the celebration as Chimmy Chaunga and her friend Geraldo the baboon guide the
audience through a few fun mambo steps. 1-2…1-2-3…1-2…1-2-3 COME ON AND
