Have you considered going green? Houston’s Official Fourth of July Celebration, Freedom Over Texas, will provide you with all the info you need to get started!  The Reliant Energy Red, White and Green Scene area will demonstrate sustainable and renewable energy technologies and of course provide fun educational and environmental exhibits that show how easy it is to go “green.”

Sustainability exhibits include green building displays, solar and wind power demos, sustainable transportation infrastructure, recycling education, rain water harvesting demos and more.

This year’s event will triple its recycling efforts, providing conveniently located and identifiable receptacles to collect plastic and aluminum cans and bottles, encouraging all patrons to recycle what they use at the event.

The event is stepping up recycling efforts this year and will provide more than 250 conveniently located and identifiable receptacles to collect plastic and aluminum cans and bottles, encouraging all patrons to recycle what they use at the event.

Learn about the City of Houston’s green initiatives. Go green for the fourth! Then keep up the momentum and go green for Houston!
