KHOU’s Lucy Noland Leaving Houston For L.A.

By ANNA-MEGAN RALEY, CBS Houston

Lucy Noland, the stunning evening co-anchor for KHOU (Channel 11), will leave her Houston post for a new job at KNBC in Los Angeles. Noland has anchored the 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts with Greg Hurst for the last four years, and Monday will be her final day on air.

“We’re not surprised that the No. 2 media market in the country has discovered her strong anchor presence and ability, but we are sorry to see her go,” said KHOU 11 President and General Manager Susan McEldoon.

Noland has become a recognizable figure in the Houston community and even made it all the way to the Exciting Eight round of SportsRadio 610’s Media Hotties Bracket.

“It’s always difficult to say goodbye to a member of the family,” said KHOU 11 News Director Philip Bruce.

During her time in Houston, Noland has been active in many local causes.
