Houston Area To Get Some Drought Relief

Get your umbrellas ready and be prepared for multiple days of rain and thunderstorms in the Houston area.

While most of Southeast Texas has been suffering the conditions associated with droubt, the Greater Houston area is about to get drenched.

Wednesday:
Mostly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms likely in the morning and a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60-percent in the morning decreasing to 50-percent in the afternoon. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy. A 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening and a 20-percent chance after midnight. Lows in the mid 70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday:
Mostly cloudy with a 40-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90s.

Thursday Night and Friday
Partly cloudy with a 20-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 70s. Highs in the mid 90s.

Friday Night
Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 70s.
