Lance Berkman and Milo Hamilton met on the field Wednesday and apparently hugged away any hard feelings over the Astros broadcaster’s recent criticism of the Cardinals slugger.
Hamilton, in a recent radio appearance, openly questioned Berkman’s dedication and commitment in his final two seasons with the Astros.
Berkman responded upon his return to Houston, where he starred for 12 seasons, saying Hamilton’s accusations were “a blatant falsehood” and a misrepresentation of the facts.
The two spoke for several minutes in front of the Cardinals dugout before Wednesday night’s game between the two central division rivals. Berkman said after the game that Hamilton sought him out to clear the air.
“It was good of him to come down and explain where he was coming from,” Berkman told SportRadio 610′s Dan Mathews. “I have no ill will towards Milo. I gave him a hug. He’s been around my whole career, and I certainly have a soft spot in my heart for him.
“Nothing has changed because he voiced an opinion that I felt was inaccurate.”
