Astros Looking For Two In A Row Against Mets
The Astros have had five tries at winning back-to-back games this season. They’re 0-5 in those games. They’re hoping Bud Norris can break that trend and help them to their first two-game winning streak since September 19-20, 2010.
Norris (1-1, 5.06 ERA) is coming off his best start of the season, six innings of shutout ball against the Padres on Thursday. New York will send knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (1-2, 3.93 ERA) to the mound. The Mets have lost eight of their last nine games.
After losing seven of their first eight games, the Astros have alternated wins and losses over their last nine. Their record now stands at 6-11, which, as of Wednesday morning, is just three games behind the Reds and Brewers who are tied for first place in the NL Central.
