We are 13 games into the season and the Astros have yet to win back-to-back games.  That could change tonight as the Astros take on the Padres in the second game of this four game series.  The Astros are coming off a 1-0 win over the Padres as Bud Norris and three relievers pitched a combined three hitter in the series opener.

J.A. Happ tries to keep it going tonight.  Happ is coming off a strong seven inning performance against the Marlins on Friday as he picked up his first win of the season.  Aaron Harang gets the start for the Padres.  He’s 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in his first season in San Diego.

This is Jackie Robinson day.  Every player from both teams will be wearing number 42 on their jerseys on the 64th anniversary of his debut.

The Astros have placed Wilton Lopez on the disabled list with an irritated ulnar nerve in his pitching elbow.   Jose Valdez will take his place in the bullpen.  Valdez posted a 2.79 ERA in spring training this season and has been the Astros closer at AAA Oklahoma City through the first week of the season.
